Onyx in Action
Onyx has been developed for and used in assessment centers across Canada to collect data for the Canadian Partnership for Tomorrow (CPT), a network of 5 prospective studies on cancer that aim to collect data and samples from 300,000 participants.
The five Canadian cohort studies are:
- BC Generations Project – the cohort study in the province of British Columbia
- The Tomorrow Project - the cohort study in the province of Alberta
- Ontario Health Study - the cohort study in the province of Ontario
- CARTaGENE - the cohort study in the province of Quebec
- Atlantic Partnership for Tomorrow's Health (The Atlantic PATH) - the cohort study in Atlantic Canada
Onyx is currently used by the Biomedical Research Informatics Centre for Cardiovascular Science (BRICCS) as main data collection solution in a hospital/clinical environment.
The Onyx team is currently collaborating extensively with the Canadian Longitudinal Study of Aging (CLSA) which aims to recruit 50 000 participants starting 2011. See this news for more details.
