About Us
OBiBa was founded in 2007 as a research project of Génome Québec. Shortly thereafter, OBiBa became a core project of P3G. OBiBa works in close collaboration with P3G and its other partners.
Principal Investigators
OBiBa’s principal investigators are:
- Vincent Ferretti, Co-investigator of P3G; Principal Investigator and Senior Scientist at Ontario Institute for Cancer Research
- Philippe Laflamme, Software Architect at Génome Québec
- Paul White, Australian Informatics Resource, University of Western Australia
Development Teams
The three teams listed below are developing OBiBa software.
- Genome Quebec Team. This team is developing GenoByte.
- Onyx/Opal Team. This team is developing two software applications for OBiBa: Onyx and Opal. Part of the team is in Toronto and part is in Montreal.The team is populated with individuals on loan from four of OBiBa’s partners: the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR), P3G, Génome Québec, and CARTaGENE.
- Australian Informatics Resource (AIR). AIR is part of the University of Western Australia, in Perth. This group is developing the Enrollment and Tracking Application (ETA).
